Otis Edwards, MBA

Otis' passion for understanding China has motivated him to travel to numerous cities within China and pursue fluency in Mandarin. Over the past 15 years, Otis has worked with dozens of mainland factories, alongside factory managers in state-run and JV Chinese factories in many facets of process and product management.

He began self-study of Chinese in the late 1980’s in the USA and later in Taiwan. Thereafter, in 1990 he was accepted into the University of California, San Diego Chinese Studies Program. In 1992-93 he attended the Nankai University Foreign Students program in Tianjin China.

After graduation he has lived and worked in Mainland China.  Otis has set up China sourcing offices, and qualified component and material suppliers, established product development QA/QC processes and orchestrated sales channel partners for North/South American and European Companies. In 2003 Otis was awarded a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario's Ivey School of Business - Hong Kong. In 2007 Otis attended the AGMA School for Gear Manufacturing Technology.

Otis is an active Triathlete, and has competed in numerous Asian and International events. In 2005 he completed the Ironman New Zealand. Otis lives in Hong Kong with his wife Dr. Susan Mistler, and their three boys: twins Austin Chance and Mason Blaze, and Harper Grayson.
